ACTIVITY: Annual Special Event

Divas & Decadence: A Benefit for victims of the Angora Fire
 Sep 22, 2007

An evening of entertainment and sweet decadence awaits you in the historic Boathouse Theatre and Valhalla Grand Hall on the shores of Lake Tahoe. The night begins with champagne, light appetizers, and a silent art auction in the Valhalla Grand Hall. Then a stroll down to the Boathouse Theatre where you will be captivated by the incredible voices of our very own Valhalla Divas and the dancing styles of Tahoe’s Shining Stars! The Divas, this year, are Angie Gooch, Sharon Kerrigan, and Michelle Sennings.

After enjoying the wonderful sights and sounds of the divas and dancers, it’s back to Valhalla Grand Hall to meet our Divas and enjoy decadent desserts from around Lake Tahoe.

Angie Gooch started singing before she started talking, coming from a family of gifted singers, including her Aunt Dolora Zajic, an internationally renowned opera star, and her dad Al, a soloist in choirs throughout Northern Nevada. She has sung in a variety of choirs and appeared in numerous musicals.

Michelle Sennings has been performing on stage since she was 5 years old. Classically trained, Michelle began singing with local and school choirs as well as the Sacramento Master Singers. She has been in many productions, including those at Lake Tahoe Community College, and Nevada Civic Light Opera Company.

Sharon Kerrigan is thrilled to perform for the second time for the Divas & Decadence. She has been seen in many productions at Lake Tahoe Community College, including “Working” and the Tahoe favorite “Guilty Pleasures.”

Don’t miss this sumptuous evening.
Proceeds go to victims of the Angora Fire.
